Why did you choose a career in FM?
I chose a career in FM as I really enjoy the diverse range of challenges that present themselves on a daily basis. I also enjoy meeting new people within the industry.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in the FM industry?
Be prepared to be flexible, forward-thinking and accessible to people – clients and colleagues alike.
What challenges do you foresee for the industry in the coming year?
I think Brexit will present the biggest challenge in 2019. Due to the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, we will need to be flexible and work with our clients as their business models and strategies change to suit the new business/economic climate after Brexit.

My first boss when I was an apprentice engineer.
If you were not a Technical Account Manager what would you be?
A test driver for Ferrari!

Away from the office, I am interested in keeping fit, spending quality time with family and friends, travel and current affairs.
If you could have dinner with any three people from any time, fictional or non-fictional, who would they be and why?
(1) Dale Carnegie – He was a genius in his time and posed business and relationship advice which is relevant even today
(2) Gene Roddenberry – Science fiction interests me greatly, and I would like to understand where his inspirations came from
(3) Barack Obama – A really interesting individual who has relevant ideas and a great insight into many subjects.
Which country would you most like to visit and why?
Australia – The country has a great historical link to the UK and has a rich and diverse history of its own.
What is your favourite book?
How to Win Friends & Influence People
What is your proudest moment?
Providing contribution to people development which leads to people that work with me, or has worked for me historically, grow and develop into more senior roles.
