Anabas appoint Phil Sugden as Operations Director

Anabas has appointed Phil Sugden as its Operations Director. With a service background in specialist sectors, consolidating his far-reaching industry expertise will see Phil helping Anabas grow its customer focused approach to service excellence.
“I see this new role at Anabas as the culmination of my experience so far,” explains Phil, “Working in a number of specific service lines, from land management and green services to mail room, corporate information management and recycling, my career embodies a number of key areas within FM. As such its a great fit to bring my knowledge and experience to Anabas, as a full service FM provider.
Anabas’ own capabilities are tailored specifically for the corporate, retail and leisure sectors. The offering encompasses self-delivered services such as cleaning, helpdesk and maintenance; to other specialist areas such as interior design and fit-out, relocation management and security. This is underpinned by a focus on customer service where the emphasis is on understanding, collaborating, tailoring, implementing, meeting and exceeding expectations.
Phil Sugden sees this flexibility and forward-thinking approach to delivering services to these sectors as one of Anabas’ differentiators and something that he will be focussing on in the months ahead:
“Understanding our customers’ objectives and devising packages to help fulfil these makes Anabas’ relationships with its customers real business partnerships. It is not only about working for our customers, it is about working for our customers’ customers! I am looking forward to helping the continued development of such collaborative relationships with the likes of Three in commercial, GAP in retail and LA Fitness in the leisure sector.
With this in mind Phil emphasises two key operational areas of the business:
“I will be looking at the process of service delivery in upholding the excellent standards Anabas has set, while also honing in on the high regard Anabas holds for all its staff. Throughout all levels of the business, Anabas staff are of the highest calibre; young and forward-thinking with fresh ideas on service tailoring and delivery; and this is something I will look to maximise, through training and long-term career opportunities with the company,” he explains.
Phil is based at Anabas’ North Yorkshire office and he currently lives with his wife and their two children in Leeds. He unwinds by running and playing squash in his spare time.
